Hi everyone,

I’m using an HP Spectre x360 (Product ID: 4WW36UA#ABA) with an 8th Gen Intel processor, and I’ve been running into a really frustrating issue with the BIOS Setup Utility:

*The BIOS UI is extremely slow and unresponsive

*Scrolling is painfully laggy

*Touchscreen and touchpad don't work at all in BIOS

I’ve tried navigating using the built-in keyboard, but the lag makes even simple tasks like changing a boot order or toggling settings really difficult. It takes several seconds for key presses to register sometimes.

Here's what I’ve already tried:

*Entered BIOS via F10 at boot

*Performed a BIOS reset to default settings

*updated the BIOS firmware

From what I understand, it's normal that the touchscreen and touchpad don’t work in BIOS, but the extreme slowness seems abnormal. Has anyone else experienced this with this or similar models?
