I've been searching for an answer everywhere for almost a year now, but I haven't seemed to find a solution. My laptop was working fine before I updated my BIOS, but after updating it I've noticed that when trying to "shut down" my pc, it turns into a black screen and then just powers back up again.
I've tried various "solutions/fixes" none of which helped. I've tried changing the "Power & Sleep" settings as well as trying to restore my previous BIOS version but I've had no luck with either.
I press "shut down" from the Window's start bar and it says that my pc is "Shutting Down" and for a few seconds it does. (The power button on the side is off and the screen is off) but then 2 seconds later it turns on as if it was just restarted.
The only way I can seem to turn it off is by holding the power button until the light goes away, but it only puts the laptop to sleep rather than shutting it off. It's quite bothersome having your battery constantly drained and not being able to fully shut off your laptop especially when you have to take it on the go.
Does anyone has a fix for this? Preferably without resetting my pc 😞
