HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ae000 CTO

My HP Spectre x360 — 13t-ae000 CTO is not turning on. After having not used it for about a week and a half due to being away for spring break, I tried to use it in my class. The power button blinks white on and off when I press it. I tried charging it, and while it is plugged in the orange light blinks on and off. At one point it was A solid orange while plugged in, but then I tried to press the power button and it continued to blink orange. It was plugged in for 2 hours yesterday, and had the same reaction the whole time. The power button is continuously blinking on and off a white color as well when I press it or while it is charging. I went to Staples to speak to a technician and he tried using another charger to see if my charger is faulty, but my laptop had the same reaction. I tried holding down the power button as well, but nothing is working. My laptop simply will not turn on or show any sign of powering on on the screen. What should I do?

Hi@Alyssa_herbold,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop not turning on.

The BIOS can be corrupted during normal operation from a failed BIOS upgrade, or damage from a virus.

Recover the BIOS using a key press combination.

Turn off the computer. Press and hold the Windows + b keys, and continue to press those keys while you press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Release the power button, but continue pressing the Windows + b keys.

The power light remains on, and the screen remains blank for about 40 seconds before anything is displayed. You might hear a series of beeps (usually 8 beeps). Eventually, an HP BIOS Update screen is displayed and the BIOS update begins automatically.

NOTE: If the HP BIOS Update screen is not displayed, press and release the power button, and then immediately press the Windows + b keys at the same time, repeatedly, until the computer beeps or opens the HP BIOS Update screen.

After the BIOS is recovered, a Continue Startup button is displayed and a timer counts down. Click the Continue Startup button to restart the computer immediately, or wait for the computer to restart automatically when the timer reaches zero.

If issue still persist then it could be a hardware issue on the PC.
