Thank you for responding,
I Understand you are in need of support and to help you out, I'm sending out a Private message with the information you need to get this sorted, as you've rightly mentioned that, we have followed all troubleshooting steps carefully and that this isn't how an HP computer is designed to perform.
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile
Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it
(The reason we are utilizing the private message now, is because the instructions are critical).
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

I'm having an identical problem to this one, after 2 years laptop is randomly freezing and is completely unusable.
I've put Fedora 30 on it just because with Windows it was even worse but it started happening again. Sometimes I can even login but would freeze straight away and sometimes it happens before it even reaches the login screen.
I've created a bootable ubuntu 19 usb and same thing is happening with ubuntu. So wouldn't say it's a software but a hardware issue. Unless HP has some setting that is on in both distros and killing the machine.
What am I supposed to do now?
