Hello!
I wanted to install Debian on my new laptop, but BIOS isn't saving my boot preferences, I'll choose "legacy boot mode" and press F10 to save and exit or use the menu option to save and exit,it will exit successfully but upon inserting my boot media it will state that the boot media did not authenticate (only required with UEFI) and once I check the BIOS again, it will state that safeboot and UEFI are on.
How do I solve this?

I found the problem:
Once you change the legacy boot option in bios it's necessary to save and quit, and then wait for the computer to boot up again. When it does it will ask for a code on the screen, which is needed to confirm the change. I was not aware of this and was just skipping through it with the esc key to try and boot from my USB.

Hi
Dunno.
Results for " Hp stream 11" (1264) so targeted help is tricky.
I think you would need to change the HDD partitioning.
The Hard Disk that is fitted is Secure Boot / GPT partitioning.
Otherwise I would try the ESC and F9 option to boot.
OR do you want to Dual Boot? W10 and Debian?

My product number is 4ND15UA#ABA if that helps.
Yes, I attempted booting with esc and F9, but when i choose my USB with debian install media it tells me "Selected boot image did not Authenticate. Press <Enter> to Continue.". I know I can solve this by turning legacy boot on in BIOS, but it won't let me.
I only want debian on the laptop, not a dual boot.
