Startup goes immediately to the following error message:

The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted.

        .

        .

        .

To learn more about creating a USB recovery drive, go to the HP website

        https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

The page cannot be found.

Going directly to Software & Drivers, https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops, returned nothing for the machine.

Starting up with B, Win-B, or Win-V, or pressing ESC or function keys after restart always returns to this same Bios error screen. Holding the start button for a minute with power disconnected also does nothing.

Except for this problem, the machine appears to be in mint condition. Is the machine a brick or can it be fixed?
