I went to go, turn my HP Stream Laptop HP Stream Laptop 14-cb116ds on like after a month and the power light turns but the screen just flashes white, and then the entire computer turns off again, I charge it up all day and tried again, but there was no change.

Hi @Shay9779,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP Stream laptop won't turn on.

Try these basic steps for an HP laptop that powers on briefly, shows a white screen flash, and then shuts off:

  • Perform a hard reset

Disconnect the charger and any external devices. If possible, hold the Power button for about 15 seconds, then reconnect power and try again.

  • Check the display

A brief white flash may indicate a display or startup issue. Try connecting the laptop to external power only and powering it on again.

  • Allow a full charge, then retry

You already charged it all day, so if behavior is unchanged, the issue may not be the battery alone.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
