This is not good. I assume you have tried tapping the ESC key when powering up and diagnostics does not run.
Your maintenance document is here and the bottom of page 98 mentions a crisis recover tool. That tool can be downloaded on this page
https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics
Expand the "Diagnose other potential issues" to get to the 4-in-one tool download. Note that the tool is for IT professionals or service partners. You can try the recovery but I recommend you contact HP support and get their advice
1) Click on this link -
https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web form and proceed further.

There are not many options available. If you take it to a tech shop they will charge just to examine it. The cost to examine may exceed the price of a used 15-bs series laptop.
You can buy an inexpensive laptop, get a USB adapter and copy the documents from the old disk drive to the new lapop.
You can buy a used 15-bs series laptop and put your disk drive in it. Make sure the seller guarantees the laptop works and does NOT ask for a bios password when turned on.
It is also possible, although difficult, to replace the motherboard. The link above shows motherboards as low as $32USD. However the warning about the bios password applies.
The motherboard I am currently using has a small switch that can flip the BIOS to the original BIOS should an upgrade go bad. Unfortunately, only the more expensive systems have that feature.
