Hello.

I have a HP elitebook 840 g3 that I've been using for several years now.

Recently I've tried dual booting linux and seemed to work just fine, until recently when trying to boot into windows it asks me to provide the bitlocker security key.

The issue here is that I have never enabled bitlocker or otherwise encrypted any of de drives (250 GB m.2 ssd and 1 tb hdd), so I have no way of providing such key. I've tried logging into my windows account to try to manage bitlocker keys from there but according to windows I don't have any. There aren't any saved on onedrive either.

I can still boot into linux, the ssd is partitioned in 2 halves, and it shows that both the hdd and the other half of the ssd are encrypted.

What could have happened and is there any way to recover the key?

Thanks
