Envy 13 ab016nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my notebook about 7months ago, and while browsing,  it suddenly turned off and won't turn back on. It's been 2days since it turned off and I took out the battery and tried the hard reset, but it still wouldn't turn back on.  When I press the power button, the led next to the AC port flashes 3times and turnes off. Please help.

Nope. I went through all the steps but the laptop still won't power on.

you know what? this post just made me feel stupid.  I thought the laptop wasn't charging because the LED acted unusually, but after plugging the device into the AC port, it turned back on! what a idiot

I am having the exact same problem. Left Envy notebook on and plugged into power supply. Returned an hour later to a black screen and notebook will not restart. When I press power button the LED light next to direct power supply flashes 3 times and stops. Have unplugged, removed battery and then replaced but still nothing. I'm working to a deadline and can't get hold of HP phone support until Monday. Took notebook to local PC store but they have said they'll need to send to their lab for diagnostics as can't even switch on, and this tales minimum 10 days. Really desperate so hoping someone on here might be able to assist me.
