@FahimUniKL, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand that your HP laptop is stuck in an update loop, where the system updates to 100%, shuts down, and then starts the update again. Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off your laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter and any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
  4. Reconnect the power adapter and turn on your laptop.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Boot into Safe Mode

  1. Turn on your laptop and immediately press the F8 key repeatedly (or Shift + F8) before the HP logo appears.
  2. If you see the Advanced Startup Options, select Safe Mode with Networking and check if the system boots up.
  3. Once in Safe Mode, try uninstalling the latest update:
    • Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
    • Click View installed updates, find the most recent update, and select Uninstall.

Perform Startup Repair

  1. Turn on the laptop and force shut it down three times (hold the power button until it turns off).
  2. On the third restart, you should see Advanced Recovery Options.
  3. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair and follow the on-screen instructions.

Use System Restore

  1. In the Advanced Options menu, select System Restore.
  2. Choose a restore point before the update issue started.
  3. Follow the prompts to restore your system.

Reset Windows (If Necessary)

If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset Windows while keeping your files:

  1. Go to Advanced Options > Reset this PC.
  2. Choose Keep my files and follow the instructions.

Let me know if these steps help or if you need further assistance!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
