HP laptop won’t start up

Hey. My eldest has a HP Laptop 15-fd0023na

It’s just over one year old. Suddenly stopped starting-up. Nothing appears on screen. Light on power button and CAPS button goes on, but nothing else.

Have tried the ‘holding the power button for 15 seconds’ but that hasn’t worked.

Can anyone help?

Good morning, it could be a BIOS issue, corrupted, or something else. Has the hardware been modified? You could try starting the PC and pressing the ESC key 2-3 times to enter the BIOS submenu. If not, try starting the PC and pressing the F10 key 2-3 times. Verify that the BIOS is not corrupted or damaged. If so, try resetting the CMOS.

If the issue is with the operating system, you could try downloading the Windows Tool from another PC and producing a bootable USB stick with Win10/11, depending on the operating system you have on the PC that won't boot. Using this bootable USB stick, you can either boot from the USB stick or perform an operating system recovery.

Buongiorno, potrebbe essere un problema di BIOS, andato corrotto o altro. Per caso è stato modificato l'hardware? Potresti provare ad avviare il pc e premere 2/3 volte il tasto ESC così da entrare nel sottomenù del BIOS . In caso contrario provare ad avviare e premere 2/3 volte il tasto F10.  Verificare l'esistenza di un BIOS non corrotto o danneggiato. Nel caso provare a fare un reset del CMOS.

Nel caso il dubbio potrebbe essere nel sistema operativo corrotto, Potresti provare da un altro PC a scaricare il Tool Windows e produrre una chiavetta di boot con Win10/11, in base a che sistema operativo hai sul pc che non si avvia. Tramite questa chiavetta usb di boot fare un avvio tramite chiavetta o un ripristino del sistema operativo.
