HI, I have also updated the BIOS on my HP ENVY 17-j020us Quad Edition Notebook PC laptop and now the BIOS won't start (same CAPS two blinks).
I have used the HP recommended firmware at the model drivers page > https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-ENVY-17-Notebook-PC-series/5387628/mod...
I've tried with the following alternatives withouth luck:
- Windows Button + B > No Boot, No success.
- Using a USB Pendrive with a different (previous) firmware > No Boot, No success
- Using a USB Pendrive with the latest firmware (F.69 Rev.A) > Managed to Boot in BIOS Restore mode. After reboot No success.
- Removed the CMOS battery (or RTC). Waited for 5 minutes and executed any of the options above > No Boot, No success.
My Laptop warranty is obviously expired, but I demand HP to resolve this problem as the recommended firmware is in your official Drivers page, and I wouldn't have done the update if I knew this would have happened...
Thanks for your help/support.
