HP spectre x360 13-ae048ng

Hello,

My Hp Spectre 13 x360 (model 13-ae048ng) turn itself off during work and does not turn on. Even if I plug the adapter the led near the usb-c port is not turnin on.

Several months ago I have similar problem, but hard reset (pushing on button for ~20  seconds) solved it. This time it worked also, but the computer went down after few minutes of work and now even hard reset do nothing.

The battery had ~70% charge, and the adapter works, as it charged the battery every day.

I'm not sure If I should try other things, or just send itstraight to service (I still on the warranty).

A lot of Spectres have this problem. It is usually a hardware failure- send it to service center while you are still in warranty.

Hello,

That's what I was afraid of. I read that previous Spectres have similar problems. Either way good to know.

Currently I stay in Portugal and I bought the computer in Poland.  I'll look into where it will be easier to send the computer to.

Thanks for the quick info.  I'll post here how it went.

Karol.

Hello,

I send it to warranty. The motherboard needed to be replaced.

Despite the computer being bought in different country the whole proces was smooth. Call support center was really helpful.

Thanks for help.
