Hi HP community.
I have encountered this issue with my hp spectre x360 which I bought two and a half years ago. about 6 months ago the computer started this blue screen saying PC has a problem and restarted after it repaired itself. A "boot device not found" message showed up sometimes but I was able to fix it by enabling the legacy support in bios. But yesterday the laptop restarted and showed "reboot and select proper boot device". Some people said I needed to disable the legacy support but that just brought me back to the "boot device not found".
With legacy support disabled, I have tried to have the secure boot on and off but it just showed the same "boot device not found" message.
the OS boot manager is set to be the first in UEFI boot order, but when I click it, it shows "OS boot manager is not found". I can't even reinstall windows cause I can't even get to the recover page.
And btw, the hard drive diagnosis was passed so I don't think its a connection issue.
I appreciate your time to read this far. If you have any suggestions to fix this please let me know. I really need this device to work for my online classes.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Step 1: Perform a hard reset (do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)
- Step 2: Restore BIOS default settings
- Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Step 4: Reseat the hard drive
- Step 5: Perform an HP System Recovery

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
