Linux

I have an HP laptop that currently has Windows 10. Whenever I try to boot into Ubuntu from a flash drive it gets to the loading screen with the logo and it just freezes. I have turned off secure boot, and tried all sorts of things in the BIOS, I have tried all 3 USB ports. I have even tried other distros. The same thing happens every time. I have never had this problem before on my other machines.

Probably, no one responded because HP simply does not provide Linux support.

But my guess is that you need to look up NoModeSet on an Linux forum to see how to set that as a part of the boot process.  Newer PCs often require this where the older PCs did not.
