Few days ago I did windows update. But there was one update from Microsoft which create problem as it was repeatedly showing not installed. Anyhow I am able to install it. But problem starts from that. After some days my laptop showing me Memory management issue. So I entered with Advanced option mode . I give command sfc /scannow and then chkdsk /f /r c: after that I enter exit and continue with windows 11. It takes a lot of time so I decide to restart again by pressing power button. but now I am unable to sign in as it show user profile failed in sign in. Also when I try to enter with safe mode it shows HP logo and please wait. I wait for a hour but nothing is happened. Please suggest some way how to on the laptop

Hi @VIK361,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're encountering the "user profile failed the sign in" error on your HP Laptop with Windows 10 and are unable to enter Safe Mode, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.
- Restart the laptop: Press and hold the power button until the laptop shuts down completely. Then, press the power button again to turn it back on.
- Try another user account: If you have multiple user accounts on your laptop, try signing in with a different account to see if the issue is specific to one user profile.
- Disconnect peripherals: Disconnect any external devices such as USB drives, printers, or other accessories from your laptop, as they can sometimes interfere with the login process.
- Hard reset: Perform a hard reset by shutting down your laptop, disconnecting the power adapter, and removing the battery (if it's removable). After that, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power. Then, reinsert the battery (if applicable), connect the power adapter, and turn on the laptop.
- Repair corrupted system files: Boot the laptop from a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) and choose the option to repair your computer. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt. In the command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow. Wait for the process to complete, and then restart your laptop.
- Perform a System Restore: If you have previously created a restore point on your laptop, you can try restoring your system to a previous state where the user profile was working fine. To do this, boot your laptop from a Windows installation media, select Repair your computer, and choose System Restore.
- Reinstall Windows: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows. This will erase all data on your laptop, so it's essential to back up any important files before proceeding. Boot from a Windows installation media, select Install Now, and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the operating system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
