I inadvertently left my laptop on over the weekend without the power cable being plugged in and now when I try to turn it on it doesn't boot but just flashes the lights every 3 seconds. I've had it plugged in for several hours but the situation does not change. This model does not have a removable battery, unfortunately, so I can't take it out and put it back in, which is a fix that worked on laptops I've had in the past.

The warranty is expired but it's still a really good laptop so I'd like to recover it if possible. It seems strange that it would just die because of a battery drain.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this issue?
