I am getting a hard disk failure id rk3smk-7sja33-mfpwmf-6oxLo3. If I try to perform a system recovery I receive a boot device not found error code, hard disk 3fo. I am running in circles trying to fix this. I am thinking to purchase a new hard drive, but is there anyway to perform a system recovery?

Sorry, but with a failing drive, there is no way to successfully do a system recovery.
You would need to replace the drive.
You can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.
The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
