Hi,

 

I've been trying to log into my laptop but I'm facing an issue with my hard drive which is prompting me to run a hard drive SMART check. Once the check has performed i get a status of failed with the following failure ID:

 

RQ9K7Q-6Q8A6U-MFPWXG-608103

 

Is anyone familiar with this issue and if so how can i resolve it?

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 SMART Hard Drive Detects Imminent Failure, means the hard drive is about to fail or has failed, and a new one needs to be installed.

 

You will also have to reinstall the operating system.

 

Consult the service manual for your specific model g6 notebook for the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
