- I hope this is posted in the right section and apologise if it’s not.
My daughters laptop stop working today, she turned it on and it got to the home screen but froze we waited a while and nothing so we had no other choice than to push the button to power it down, but when switching back on we got a black screen that takes a fair few minutes to load to a black screen saying Boot device not found - please install an operating system on your hard disk
- hard disk (F30)
- F2 system diagnostics
- we tried the diagnostics which gave us these options
- memory test
- storage test
- hard drive check
- language
- exit
- we tried the hard drive check on quick and extensive and it says no hard drive installed. Please check the power and data cables are connected properly
- I have tried a few suggestions from online help and none of them worked, I can not run a test that give me a diagnostic code it beeps at me when I try to use certain F keys. I’m really stuck and don’t know what to do and my daughter needs her laptop back up and running as she uses it to do her school work. Any help would be much appreciated.
