Hi,

What do you mean by "top failed"?

If the hard drive failed the tests, you will need to replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

You will need a new 2.5" SATA drive for the notebook.

You can see on page 46 of service manual the steps to replace the drive:

Let me know,

David

Hi,

You can probably get a 2.5" hard drive at your local electronics/computer store for about 40$ or even less.

You can try installing Windows 10, might have some problems with drivers, however it should work and if it does not you can always go back to Windows 7.

You can download the media creation tool on different PC, run and create a bootable pendrive or DVD with the OS on it. During installation click on "do not have product code". Naturally if you want to keep Windows 10 on rhe PC once you have tried it, you will need to purchase a licence (you can find them on amazon for cheap)

Hope it helps,

David
