When I try to start my laptop a black screen appears and says boot device not found and Hard Disk (3F0). I did a quick hard drive check and it says “no hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly.” What do I do?

Sounds like the hard drive has failed and will have to be replaced.Maintenance and Service Guide shows how to change it:
