Windows 10 on my ZBook G4 fails to a BSOD. Both WdFilter.sys & bootres.dll are corrupted. Is there a fix for this? (sfc/scannow doesn’t fix it.)

Hi,
I would first check and see if there are any hardware problems with the PC (hard drive) .
Turn off the PC by holding the power button. Turn on PC and continously keep pressing ESC until startup menu appears and then press F2 to enter diagnostics. Try the fast test, or at least the hard drive test.
See if there are any hardware errors.
Let me know,
David

Thanks, David. Thorough diagnostics done, & no issues. The SrtTrail.txt file in the logs indicates that both bootres.dll & WdFilter.sys are corrupted, but nothing else. Performing sfc and wmic are ineffective.
