Hello, I just got a Compaq 6510b laptop and when I try to boot the laptop it gives me an error saying boot on password. I do not know what the password is and if there are any solution please list.
I have already taken out the CMOS battery, ram, and tried the hard drive on my pc if that would do anything, and nothing has worked.
i created a windows installation media and it still requires a password.
When I type in multiple codes it does not give me the error number or whatever it’s called so I don’t know what to do, I’ve tried everything?

Any power-on password is encoded into the firmware of the laptop and removing the CMOS battery will have no effect on that.
