Hi @Zion20
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your laptop is stuck in a boot loop where it reaches the logo and then restarts, repeating the process without successfully booting into Windows. This type of issue can be caused by several things, including corrupted system files, a failed update, or a hardware malfunction. Here are some steps you can follow to try to fix it:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
Sometimes, performing a hard reset can help resolve boot issues caused by temporary glitches.
- Shut down your laptop completely.
- Unplug the laptop from any external devices (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
- Unplug the charger and remove the battery if possible.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reinsert the battery and reconnect the charger.
- Turn on the laptop again and check if it boots correctly.
2. Boot into Safe Mode
If you can’t boot into Windows normally, try booting into Safe Mode, which loads a minimal version of Windows to help troubleshoot issues:
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Turn on the laptop and immediately start pressing the F8 key (or Shift + F8) repeatedly.
- If you successfully access the Advanced Boot Options, select Safe Mode.
- If the system boots into Safe Mode, you can try performing some system repairs, such as uninstalling recent updates, running diagnostics, or restoring the system.
If pressing F8 doesn't work (in Windows 10 or 11, this method might not be effective), try these steps to force Windows to boot into Advanced Startup:
- Turn on the laptop and as soon as you see the Windows logo, press and hold the power button until the system powers off.
- Repeat this process 2-3 times until you see the "Preparing Automatic Repair" message.
- When Windows boots into Automatic Repair, select Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings.
- Then, click Restart and press 4 or F4 to start in Safe Mode.
3. Use Windows Startup Repair
Windows has a built-in Startup Repair tool that can fix issues preventing the system from booting properly. Here's how to access it:
- Boot into Advanced Startup Options (you can follow the steps from the previous section if you're not already there).
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.
- Wait for Windows to attempt to automatically fix the issue. It may take some time.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
