HP 17 Laptop PC 17-cp3000 (9Q8Z1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I thought I was purchasing a professional laptop that would be just as good as my Dell 7720 and other hp laptops and desktops I had purchases in the past (and are still running).  However, the 17-cp3005dx is NOT a professional laptop.  When I went to install MS Classic Outlook, "Automatic Repair" kept removing that software until I uninstalled hp support assistant.  Now, I went to change set the path of the bootloader via

bcdedit /set path \EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi

and then "AUTOMATIC REPAIR" kicked in on the reboot, and REMOVED THE CHANGE I needed to boot to Ubuntu.

It would appear that hp designed the Laptop 17-cp3005dx as a child's toy instead of a laptop for a serious professional user.

How do I make the change to the boot path and keep automatic repair from changing it?

Thank you, Zoey.  I attempted to follow your instructions, but there was no "little blue envelope" to click.
