Hello! Is it possible to turn the machine on without pressing the power button, e.g. on plugging the AC adaptor, pressing a key on an external keyboard? I read general instructions that these options are available either via changing BIOS settings or power management, but I did not find anything similar on my laptop.

hey
I think you are talking about a possible option with a desktop computer
A desktop computer may restart sometimes, if there is a power outage
A laptop with a battery, normally, this type of option seems unlikely to me.

Yes, i did not find any BIOS settings that can do the job. I'd like to turn the laptop on while the lid is closed. Is it possible with my particular model? Can you please give me some details about booting from lan/ network?

I doubt that possible closed screen, but not certain
I've never used the network boot option, I know it's quite peculiar, so I'm not going to do a simple copy paste, it's stupid
You have different tutorials on the net, but maybe you don't have everything you need, and will this be a good solution for you?
Do you have a particular reason for wanting to start this way?

I want to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor attached. Pretty much like the following scenario:
But so far I cannot find a solution.
