I installed lubuntu 24.04.1 on an SSD disk alongside windows 10.
I cannot see a menu (grub or other) when I boot up the pc. It boots straight into windows.
To boot lubuntu, I have to his f9 repeatedly while it is booting. Then I see the choice :
- OS Boot Manager (UEFI) - Windows Boot Manager
- OS Boot Manager (UEFI) - ubuntu
I can select ubuntu with the arrow keys, press "enter", and boot into lubuntu.
But I don't want to have to do this each time I turn on the pc.
Fixes already tried :
Under Windows :
- running the power shell with admin priviledges and typing :
C:\Windows\system32> bcdedit /set "{bootmgr}" path efi\ubuntu\grubx64.efi
- Going to settings - update and security - recovery - advanced startup and selecting UEFI boot order
then rebooting from this page. It doesn't show UEFI boot order options.
Under Lubuntu :
Downloading and installing the boot-repair package and running it with the default options.
All suggestions welcome.
