Hi @Sebitler, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You can try the following steps to access the BIOS and see if the advanced options are available:

1. Access the BIOS

  1. Turn off your laptop completely.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately start pressing F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu appears.
  3. If F10 does not work, try Esc first, then select BIOS Setup (F10) from the menu.

2. Check for Advanced Options

  • Once in the BIOS, look for Advanced, Chipset, or similar tabs.
  • If you see limited options, your BIOS is locked to basic settings.

3. Unlock Advanced BIOS (Possible Methods)

Warning: Modifying the BIOS improperly can cause system instability or failure. Proceed at your own risk.

Method 1: Try Different Key Combinations

Some HP laptops may have hidden menus unlocked with these key combinations inside the BIOS:

  • Press Ctrl + F10 or Ctrl + F11 when entering BIOS.
  • Try pressing A while holding Ctrl in BIOS.
  • If your BIOS has an "Advanced" tab but is locked, pressing Fn + Tab three times, then restarting might help.

Method 2: Modifying BIOS Setup via HP BIOS Utility

If the advanced settings are hidden, you might need a modded BIOS, which is not officially supported by HP. This requires BIOS modding tools, which are risky.

Method 3: Using UEFI Firmware Settings

  1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to System > Recovery.
  3. Under Advanced Startup, click Restart now.
  4. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings.
  5. Click Restart to enter BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
