Product: Hp notebook
I can get to the reset screen but it says my password is wrong. Can I do it without the password?

Tap the Esc key when powering up and then F11 to start a system restore from the recovery partition.  If that does not work, you could order the recovery media from HP.  If the computer has Windows 10, you could also download the install media from Microsoft and do a fresh installation.
