Hi,
I just updated my bios from F.26 Rev.A to F.28 Rev.A and this has effectively bricked my laptop for my work.
* The new bios prevents boot if secure boot is disabled.
* More importantly, it does not use the keys enrolled using mokutil.
* Even more importantly rolling back to F27 is not possible because of the same issue. If I manually browse the EFI file to load in F9, for the non signed update it obviously gives an error, but the signed bios update binary is looking for a signature file 088D0.s12 which is not there in F27 Rev A.
Basically I cannot use my laptop for my dev work anymore. Could someone from HP please help me roll back my bios or let me know how to disable secure boot or make self signed EFI binaries work ? This is not cool at all, does HP device what I can use my laptop for from now on ? If so can I return it and get a full refund ?
Is there a relevant HP bios dev/technical support email that I can contact ?
