HP 2000-2d79NR Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My laptop booted up just fine. I decided I had found the right laptop to put my mother's hp hdd and ram in the computer and the pc still started up but it would get stuck on the hp screen and where it was black was turning blue. So I unplugged it. Yes it was the right plug. So I tried a different plug...same outcome. So I tried my moms hdd and ram in a different hp laptop and that laptop screen stayed black. So I put my mom hdd and ram back in this hp 2000 and the power light where the charger comes on but no power on two different cords. So I tried hard reset. Nothing. Leaving the battery out I take out the hdd and plug the adapter back in and power but black screen only with caps lock blinking. Tried different cord. Same outcome. So I unhooked the screen to see if it became loose. Everything is hooked up and screwed in. I then try the power cord again with no battery and no hdd. Now no light by the charging port. Tried second cord and the blue light on the power adapter blinks on and off but no light on  the pc......please any opinions or recommendations are welcome. Thank you.

I have done the hard reset and does nothing. If you reread the last part of my original post that is what I need help with at the moment:

I took out the harddrive. The laptop started but no screen. I tried a hard reset. Still no screen. So I took the top part loose to see if the screen was connected correctly. It was. Screwed back together. Now when power adapter is connected with and without battery no lights at all. Except with the second power adapter, the adapter itself the light starts blinking on the adapter. No lights on pc.

Hi @MTaylor88,

I see that there is an issue with the device hardware and may need repair.

This issue might require one-on-one interaction to fix it.
