Hello, on my Hp 255 G7 notebook PN:6HL70EA#BCM I wanted to replace the drive with a bigger and faster one. Original Samsung MZ-NLN128C drive replacement for Apacer AS2280P4U Pro. I cloned the disk. After booting from the new disk, automatic disk repair started. Then the laptop started normally, but it is slow and DiskInfo reports that only PCIe 1.0 x2 is connected and not PCIe 3.0 x4. I tried different cloning programs always the same result. Bios is the latest F.40. I don't know what to do. Thanks for the advice.

Hi:
Instead of cloning the disk, the only suggestion I can offer would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive.

If you have to use the tool on another PC to create the installation media, you will need to enter your PC's product number i the tool's search window to create the recovery media.
Your PC's product number is: 6HL70EA#BCM.
