During the last 5 years, I have been able to unlock my laptop with my fingerprints. Unfortunately, after a HDD crash, I had to reinstall my Windows 11 from scratch. I installed the HP Client Security Manager v10.1.1.14580. I'm now able to connect to windows with my fingerprint, but power-on security has been replaced by a password instead of fingerprints. Furthermore, the password, is not my current windows password, but the admin password of the previous windows setup ?!?
Fortunately I remember it but I want to change it, remove it or restore fingerprint identification.
The current HP Client Security Manager version does not seems to allow these feature when running Windows 11 ?
For Information I have no driver issue in Windows Device Manager: all drivers and software are up to date ...
How can change the password or the behavior ?
If I set a power-on or bios password in BIOS, it is asked AFTER the old Security Manager remaining password ?
I tried to clear TPM: no change.
Do you have any clue ?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
