Last night my laptop was working fine, I was watching shows on a streaming platform. This morning as I am trying to do the same thing, my laptop won’t turn on. I have attempted to hold the power button down for 8-10 seconds, however that did not changing anything. I also attempted pressing down on (Windows Button + V) and then the power button. That did not work either. My laptop was charged last night, but when I try to plug the charger it I don’t get the orange light that indicates it’s charging. It’s like the laptop isn’t responding to the button commands.

Thank you for your help in advance! I will try anything at this point.

Same thing happended to my new (not even a day old) HP envy 16 H0055CL I purchased from Costco which arrived yesterday.

It had 49% battery when it suddenly turned off. The charging light doesn't even turn on anymore. Holding the power button does nothing, completely dead.

Will be returning it tomorrow.
