Hi all. Was just using my computer 2 days ago, working fine but my charger cord has been bending/breaking over time and finally failed to charge my computer. I still had a little battery life but when I came back to it (maybe 5 min had passed) the screen was black and wouldn't respond. So I ordered a new charger on amazon thinking that would fix things, and it has been plugged in for an hour now with still no response to turning on or even the factory reset. It's not the screen backlight off or lack of battery life at this point. Anyone know what I can do?? Thanks!!!

@Alyssadale Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that Chromebook will not turn on.
Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.
Step 1: Remove external devices
If your Chromebook does not start, remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential devices (external hard drives and similar).
After you have removed all external devices, turn on the Chromebook. What happens?
-
If the Chromebook starts, reconnect devices one at a time while restarting the computer to figure out which device is causing the problem. You are done.
-
If the Chromebook still does not start or exhibits the same problem, do not reconnect anything, and continue troubleshooting.
Step 2: Find a fix that matches your Chromebook's symptom (for more details, Click here)
let me know how that pans out,
And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!
Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,
Mark this post as an "Accepted Solution".
Good luck.
