So i have an HP pavilion 15 and the ssd of the original system broke (when I tried to boot it, it would just go black not even in the bios). So I removed my old ssd and it could boot in the bios now.

Next step was to put a working ssd in there to make sure my laptop was fine, I put an old lenovo ssd in it and it could boot startup windows and everything it was absolutely fine.
I bought a new ssd to put in the computer, and I still had a windows 10 stick so I could put it on the ssd. The laptop wouldn't recognize the windows stick as a bootable device. So what I did was remove all hdd and ssd from my desktop (different device) and just put the new SSD in there to install windows this way. So windows is installed all updates are downloaded and my desktop runs fine on the new SSD.
Suggesting there is not a problem with my ssd, but if I would put it in my laptop it still wouldn't boot on that SSD, even though it does on some old lenovo SSD.
Maybe it was because some old BIOS wouldn't recognise the new SSD so I updated it, but this also didn't solve the issue. Now I am clueless to what could be the problem does anyone have an idea?

HP product specs indicate your laptop came with a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, which you said was removed since it failed.

 

Your laptop recognizes an old Lenovo SSD, and it boots into Windows. So, the BIOS and M.2 port are working. But the laptop doesn't recognize a Kingston NVMe 4.0 SSD, which works fine on another PC. This tells the Kingston SSD is in working condition.

 

Your laptop has an Intel core i5 10th gen and M.2 PCIe 3.0 port. The Kingston NVMe 4.0 should be backwards compatible with 3.0. Only explanation I can come up is your laptop somehow has a compatibility issue with that specific Kingston NVMe.

Please provide the full model number or product number of the laptop and specs of the SSD (2.5" SATA SSD or M.2 SSD SATA or NVMe).

Thanks a lot for helping me figuring it out, I will try using a different brand SSD and hope this fixes the issue.
