Hi @Danniel4002 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Pavilion notebook. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the problem:
Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if possible).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter.
- Turn on the laptop.
External Monitor:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor using the appropriate cable.
- Power on both the laptop and the external monitor.
- Check if the display appears on the external monitor. If it does, there might be an issue with the laptop's display.
BIOS Reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press the power button and immediately start tapping the "Esc" key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press "F10" to enter the BIOS settings.
- Look for an option to reset BIOS settings to default. This may vary by model, so refer to your laptop's manual.
- Save changes and exit.
Memory (RAM) Check:
- Reseat the RAM modules. If you're not familiar with this process, refer to your laptop's manual.
- If you have multiple RAM modules, try booting with only one at a time.
Safe Mode:
- Boot the laptop into Safe Mode. To do this, restart the laptop and press the F8 key repeatedly before Windows starts loading.
- If it boots into Safe Mode, it could indicate a software issue.
System Restore:
- If you have a recent system restore point, try restoring your system to that point.
- To do this, you may need to access the Advanced Startup Options. You can get there by holding down the Shift key while clicking Restart from the Start menu.
Windows Recovery:
- Use a Windows installation media to access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
- Select "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Repair."
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
