Hi @Rosefaelyn08298,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect any external devices.
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • If your notebook has a removable battery, remove it. For non-removable batteries, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to drain residual power.
  • Reinsert the battery (if removed) and reconnect the power adapter.
  • Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Check for External Display:

  • You mentioned connecting an HDMI cord to a TV. If the internal display is not working, an external monitor can help determine if the issue is with the display panel.
  • Connect the HDMI and switch the display using the Fn + F4 (or F4, depending on your model) keys to output the display to the external screen.

Reseat RAM:

  • If you are comfortable opening your notebook, try reseating the RAM. Often loose connections can cause such issues.
  • Ensure the power is disconnected before attempting this.

BIOS Recovery:

  • Sometimes, a BIOS recovery can resolve issues related to system non-responsiveness.
  • Power off the notebook, then power on and immediately press the Windows + B keys (hold them down) and then press the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the Power button but continue holding the other two keys until you hear beeps or see a BIOS recovery screen.

Ensure Proper Ventilation:

  • Even without a cooling fan, ensure the notebook is placed in a well-ventilated area to avoid overheating.
  • Clean any dust from air vents if necessary.

I hope this helps.
