Purchased a computer and don't know password

Or is there any way to change that password so I know it? I just purchased the computer and have set nothing up.

It's showing a blue screen and restarted itself. Unsure what to do

The passcode I gave you should have cleared the passowrd so none is required.

As for getting a blue screen and the laptop restarting- that may be several problems.

Did you buy the laptop without even seeing it boot up into Windows?

What is the OS installed on it? Windows 7, 8 or 10?

If you don't know-post the full Model Number or Product number. It should be on a label attached to bottom of laptop. May be under battery on the Dv7.

The DV7 1132nr is a pretty old laptop that shipped with Windows Vista. Not sure who sold it to you as new but it doesn't sound right- unless it has been sitting in a warehouse for 8-9 years.
