Hp stream 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Besides the fact that the hp stream is a piece of junk with not even enough memory for the hp update,  now the stupid thing won't boot up.  I get a black screen with a flashing boot block window and then the  hp logo keeps flashing.

Anyone get a fix or should I just throw it off a cliff?

Have a great day,
Dawn

Hi @dsm6380,

Have you tried to run any test on the computer from F2?

Let's try these steps here:

Run an extensive system test as well as a test on the Hard drive from F2 (Please remember to capture the failure ID for further assistance).

Depending on the test results, If the test fails, then it's clearly a possible hardware failure with the PC contact our HP support team for further assistance.

If the test passes, then the next option would be to perform a system recovery:

  • You can perform an HP System Recovery to completely erase all files, and go back to the way the system was when it was first purchased. For more information, see HP Guided Solution - Performing an HP System Recovery.

  • If you haven't created a set of recovery media, then I would suggest you to obtain recovery media - Here's what you need to know about obtaining a recovery media for yourself: Click here

  • You may contact our HP support team to order a set of recover media for your PC. HP support team can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp

Let me know how it goes!
