Hello, I need help, I was working with my laptop hp victus 16 rtx3060 and amd processor. I had many windows opened in opera browser, my energy configuration is custom, if I close the screen with battery, enter in sleep mode, if no, doesn't do nothing. Only for add, with the detail that I muted all the windows sound . The case is, I take my laptop for working outside with battery but I didn't turn off, so it's supposed that was in sleep mode for many hours because finally I was not working with him. When I tried to turn on for working, I connected to my TV with hdmi, I pressed the power button and WHITE LED LIGHT in power button was lighting, but how didn't show image in screen, I hold the button power for reset it. When I tried again after it turned off, the white light only appear for 1 s and it's literally impossible to turn on again, I tried everything in your guides, hold 30s, 1m, 15s, 10s, with battery (non removable), without.. I went for a technician, he cleaned inside and changed thermal pad, removes and connect again RAM, ssd... and nothing... the same error, qs white light and not turn on... There is NO BEEP, no sound, no fan activity, we tried another charger, directly to the power station and not extenders... but really nothing and it's really important for me and my work trying to revive it asap. Please what can I do? I said everything for add any important detail. I have almost 100gb free in hard disk, boot normal, idk about bios version, windows version and almost Im not sure if I have w10 o 11...

Hi @Abraham-hl,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the detailed explanation; it helps narrow things down. Based on everything you've tried and the symptoms (brief white LED, no fan spin, no display, no POST), this points to a deep hardware-level failure, possibly related to:
Possible Root Causes
- Embedded Controller (EC) or BIOS corruption
- Sleep mode can sometimes trigger EC/BIOS bugs, especially if the system was under load or had custom power settings.
- Shorted or failed power rail (VRM, MOSFET, etc.)
- If the laptop was in a bag or enclosed space, heat buildup could have damaged a power component.
- Faulty motherboard or BGA solder failure
- Especially if there's no fan spin or POST, this is a strong possibility.
- Battery or power circuit lockout
- Some HP laptops enter a protection state if voltage irregularities are detected.
What You Can Still Try
1. EC Reset (Hard Reset with Power Drain)
Try this exact sequence:
- Disconnect the charger.
- Hold the power button for 60 seconds.
- Plug in the charger without pressing the power.
- Wait 30 seconds, then press the power once.
2. BIOS Recovery (Blind Recovery)
If the BIOS is corrupted, this might help:
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release all keys and wait up to 1 minute.
- If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the prompts.
3. External Display Test (HDMI)
Even if the internal display is dead, try:
- Connect to a TV or monitor via HDMI.
- Power on and press Windows + P or Fn + F4 to cycle display modes.
4. Remove CMOS Battery (if accessible)
If your technician can access the CMOS battery:
- Remove it for 5–10 minutes.
- Reinsert and try powering on again.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
