I don't know if it's a coincidence, but when I install Hyper-V windows advanced features I met the kernel-power (event id 41) problem. Notebook does not restart immediately after installing the components, but randomly during the day. Some days it restarts 3/4 times, other days it won't restart ...
Notebook is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U CPU with Radeon Graphics integrated.
List of things I've done:
- updated windows to the latest version
- updated bios
- disabled windows fast startup
- under System failure, disabled Automatically restart.
- try a thousand configuration in windows power settings
- ran various HP diagnostic tools that did not report errors
- check the CPU compatibility with virtualization (coreinfo says the cpu supports SLAT)
- sent notebook to hp support which has taken steps to restore it to factory settings
I still have the problem anyway.
