Hi @Raman06,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how concerning it must be to see the Boot Device Not Found (3F0) error, especially after installing Windows 11. This usually happens due to a BIOS misconfiguration, a hard drive issue, or a corrupted Windows installation. Don’t worry—I’ll guide you through the troubleshooting steps.

Step 1: Restore BIOS Default Settings

  1. Turn off your laptop and wait a few seconds.
  2. Press the power button, then immediately start pressing F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
  3. Press F9 to restore BIOS default settings.
  4. Press F10 to save and exit, then select Yes and press Enter.
  5. Restart your laptop and check if it boots properly.

Step 2: Recover or Update the BIOS (If System Doesn't Boot)

If resetting the BIOS doesn’t help, you may need to recover or update it.

Option 1: Key Press BIOS Recovery (for corrupted BIOS)

  1. Turn off your laptop and connect the AC adapter.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B, then press the power button.
  3. After 2-3 seconds, release the power button but keep holding Windows + B until the HP BIOS Update screen appears.
  4. If this doesn’t work, try using Windows + V instead.

Option 2: BIOS Recovery Using a USB Drive

  1. On another working computer, go to HP Support and download the latest BIOS update for your laptop.
  2. Run the BIOS file and choose Create Recovery USB drive.
  3. Insert the USB drive into the faulty laptop.
  4. Hold Windows + B, then press the power button and release it after 2-3 seconds (keep holding Windows + B).
  5. If the HP BIOS Update screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.

If the update is successful, restart your laptop and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 3: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (F2) - Check the Hard Drive

  1. Turn off your laptop.
  2. Turn it on and immediately start pressing Esc repeatedly.
  3. When the menu appears, press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  4. Select System Tests > Hard Disk/SSD Drive Issue > Test All Hard Drives.
  5. If the test fails, note down the failure ID and contact HP Support.
  6. If the test passes, but the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Step 4: Reinstall Windows 11

If your hard drive is working fine but Windows is not booting, you may need to reinstall Windows:

  1. Try accessing Windows Recovery Mode by turning on your laptop and pressing F11 repeatedly.
  2. If recovery options appear, select Reset this PC > Keep my files or Remove everything.
  3. If Windows Recovery Mode does not work, create a Windows installation USB using another computer and reinstall Windows manually.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, let me know what happens at each step, and I’ll assist you further! 😊

Take care and have a good day.
