Hey, good night. Im writing this to informt that my loptop was running slow at first. Then started misbehaving. Then i went into the command promt, and it was fixed. But then during that i got fed up based on personal things. And i just deleted things. And the i saw the screen went blanked. And after watching something on YouTube, it turned back on. And everything was good. But then I had installed an update, because it went back to being slow. And it was due for the update. And while updatibg in the late 70's of the process. I switch to my hotspot, and it went a little faster to 99. And i was doing something while duing the process. But then i guess right before it turns 100. The percent had chaged and it turned off. So after a few days i came on it to see if it was good. But all i see now it kind of the same as before mostly blackscreen. So now im asking for help on how to fix my hp computer, that has { dy} at the top of the loptop. But it's a {Hp .Windows 10} before the update. It it was it would be a { Hp .Windows 11}. If the update was done.

Hi @Caribean_123-,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m really sorry to hear you’re going through this. It sounds like your HP laptop is stuck in a bad state after a failed or interrupted Windows update, and now you're seeing a mostly black screen when trying to boot.
Let’s walk through some steps to try and recover your system.
1. Try a Hard Reset
This clears temporary hardware states:
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Unplug the charger and remove any USB devices.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Plug the charger back in and try turning it on.
2. Boot into Recovery Mode
Try to access Windows Recovery Environment:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly (once per second).
- If successful, you’ll see the Recovery screen.
If F11 doesn’t work, try Shift + Power On or Esc + F11.
3. Use System Restore or Startup Repair
If you get into recovery:
- Choose Advanced Options
- Then try:
- Startup Repair (to fix boot issues)
- System Restore (to roll back to a working state)
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
