Hello,
I am having problems starting my computer. My computer boots up but the display doesn't turn on. I have to hit the on/off button 10 to 15 times before the display finally turns on. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Thank you

@cinque8, thank you for the additional information.
The tests are telling you that your hard drive is failing. It gives you a heads-up so you can backup your personal information. This is actually a great feature. I only had to lose all of my personal information once to make me a believer in doing backups.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop. In Chapter 4, Removal and replacement procedures, Page 78, there is a list of compatible hard drives and SSD's. Also, the relacement procedures.

@cinque8, welcome to the forum.
What is the full model of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information.

Thank you for the additional information, @cinque8.
Here is a guide to help you test the battery. If it hasn't been replaced recently, it could be failing. Also, it could be that the power adapter is failing.
Here is a guide to help you test for hardware failures. The age of the laptop makes it likely that any of the components could have failed.
