Hi @Rey319,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the picture. I can see the system is displaying the “Boot Device Not Found – Hard Disk (3F0)” message, which usually means the laptop is unable to detect the operating system or the hard drive properly during startup. I understand how worrying it can feel when the computer suddenly stops booting and only shows a black screen message like this.

The first thing I would recommend is running the built-in HP Hardware Diagnostics Extensive Test to check the health of the storage drive and other hardware components.

Please follow these steps carefully:

To run the Extensive Test on your HP PC:

  1. Hold the Power button for at least 5 seconds to turn the computer OFF.
  2. Turn it back ON and immediately tap the Esc key repeatedly.
  3. When the Startup Menu appears, press F2.
  4. In HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI), select:
    • System Tests
    • Then click Extensive Test

Please allow the test to complete fully, even if it takes some time.

Once finished, kindly share the test results or any Failure ID displayed on the screen so we can help determine whether this is related to the hard drive, Windows boot files, or another hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
