I can’t enter my password in sure start as the @ won’t register

Elitebook xample: Pavilion 65XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I start the machine sure start looks for my password however my password contains @ and when pressed it doesn’t register on screen. I have tried the various keyboards but password won’t register so I’m locked out!

I can’t enter my password in sure start as the @ won’t register

The laptop is an Elitebook S/N 5CG9360N2B purchased in October. I unfortunately activated SureStart and it now won't take the password, so I'm locked out.
