Dear reader,
I installed a new ssd drive and installed a new windows 11 on it, it work fine and the old hdd drive is still have its own windows 11 because i didn't remove it but I used an internal adapter as shown in the picture to use it for the hdd to install it in place of the dvd rom so I can benefit from the extra hard drive, now I want to keep the old windows but not the first to boot.
thanks

Hi:
Eject the hard drive so the Windows boot manager switches to the SSD.
If you reinsert the hard drive and the boot manager switches back to the drive in the caddy, you will need to clean the hard drive disk using the dispart utility to completely remove windows and use the drive for storage only.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, that would not be possible.
When you clean the disk, it erases everything and leaves an unformatted, blank drive.
If you have files you want to save, either copy them to the SSD you installed or back them up onto a USB portable hard drive or USB flash drive.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that happened if the PC was booting from the SSD with the hard drive installed in the caddy.
Most notebooks that I am familiar with will not boot from a SSD if Windows is installed on the hard drive.
